Science Hill to host Rising 9th-grade parent meeting on March 2

Science Hill High School is hosting a Rising 9th grade parent meeting inside the Science Hill auditorium on Thursday, March 2. For students with last names beginning with A-M, the meeting will begin at 6:00 pm.  For students with last names beginning with N-Z, the meeting will begin at 6:30 pm. Information will be provided regarding registering for classes for the 2023-2024 school year. The meeting will be an opportunity to discuss class offerings, graduation requirements, the Advanced Placement (AP) program, and other related topics to help prepare you and your student for selecting 9th-grade classes. Please plan to attend this important informational meeting. 

In addition to the parent meeting, all rising 9th graders must attend an individual 4-year plan/registration meeting. During this separate meeting, you, your student and an advisor will discuss requirements for the next 4 years of high school and register for 9th-grade classes. Listed below are the dates for the 4-year plan meetings. Meetings are available every 30 minutes and will be held at the Career Technical Education (CTE) building at 251 Cotty Jones Lane, Johnson City, TN 37604.

 

Tuesday, March 21st 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm CTE Building, SHHS

Thursday, March 23rd 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm CTE Building, SHHS

Tuesday, March 28th 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm CTE Building, SHHS

Thursday, March 30th 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm CTE Building, SHHS

Please review the new class registration website - www.jcschools.org/sciencehill/content2/registration prior to attending your 4-year plan meeting. Parents of students who will not be attending Science Hill High School next year should email McKayla Collie at colliem@jcschools.org to have your student removed from the 4-year plan list.
